SUPER MARIO HAIR

You might already have seen pictures or read stories about the Super Mario hair, I was surprised when I saw how much it had spread in just a few days, starting with an article in Harpers Bazaar.
We in X-presion were preparing for a show in Tokyo and my colleague asked me to make a pixelated Super Mario colour as a fun little tribute to Japan.
It took about a week from I started to the finished colour, I didn't want to make it like a stencil on the surface of the hair, I wanted to make it with real colours and in a way so when the hair falls naturally you just see some horisontal highlights, but when you comb the hair to one side or another you will see the Mario figure in the classic 1981 form come into view.
And what was just thought as a funny little thing for our show in Tokyo has spread like ripples in the water the last few days to magazines around the world.

X-Presion in Mexico 2016

I haven´t uploaded new stuff on my blog for a while, so I thought now would be a good time to share some of the work from our tour in Mexico. It has been an intense tour with a lot of events and little sleep, but the reactions and response we got from the people was amazing and worth all the hard work.

No he subido cosas nuevas en mi blog por un tiempo, así que pensé que ahora sería un buen momento para compartir algunos de los trabajos de nuestra gira por México. Ha sido una intensa gira con una gran cantidad de eventos y pocas horas de sueño, pero las reacciones y la respuesta que recibimos de la gente era increíble y vale la pena todo el trabajo duro.

Next up...... Show Positivo

Here are some of the things we have done lately in our shows, we have worked in Paris, Poland, Portugal and Valencia.

Estas son algunas de las cosas que hemos hecho últimamente en nuestros shows, hemos trabajado en París, Polonia, Portugal y Valencia.

Now we are getting ready for a show in Barcelona and Show Positivo in Madrid. 

Show Positivo is a show we organise every year and apart from X-presion we always invite some big names from other countries.

The Secret Master Class is the day after Show Positivo, it's a more intimate course and here you have the chance to see more technical details, and there is always a surprise in form of an additional hair artist. The location is also a surprise and will be announced the day before.

The Secret Master Class es el día después Show Positivo, es un curso más íntima y aquí tienes la oportunidad de ver más detalles técnicos, y siempre hay una sorpresa en forma de un artista adicional. La ubicación también es una sorpresa y será anunciado el día anterior.

I started a new job on the 1st of September in X-Presion, it's a creative team of hair artists that always challenge the limits for what you can do with hair, and create the most fantastic hair art.
I am really excited about this collaboration and hopefully I can soon start sharing my experiences with the team here on my blog.

New exciting things to come..

So I know I have been quiet for a while, but new exciting things are to come soon, from September 1st I'm starting on something new, I'm back in Madrid and excited about the next few months.

I won't say more right now, but I will start to post new things on my blog again very soon..

Hace tiempo he estado en silencio, pero nuevas cosas emocionantes están por venir pronto, desde el 1 de septiembre estoy empezando algo nuevo, estoy de vuelta en Madrid y con ganas de lo que pasará los próximos meses.

The Canary Islands "Next Up"

This week I have been working in the Canaries where we did a show in Las Palmas and then som seminars in Tenerife and La Palma. I am starting to adapt to the way we work and also all the traveling. So far I am enjoying my new job.

Esta semana he estado trabajando en Las Canarias, donde hicimos un show en Las Palmas y luego algunos seminarios en Tenerife y La Palma. Estoy empezando a adaptarme a la forma de trabajar y también todos los viajes. Y hasta ahora estoy disfrutando mi nuevo trabajo.
